Defending Jacob 3

Throughout this book I always had a feeling that Jacob was guilty. All of the evidence pointed towards him, even though his father thought otherwise. Towards the beginning of Part Four I knew that something just didn't seem right. By the end of the book, I was not surprised that Jacob already murdered another person. However, when his mother was driving directly towards the bridge abutment, I was very surprised. His mom had many second thoughts about Jacob throughout his trial, but I never would expect her to do something so permanent and reckless. I would expect that no matter what happened, Jacob's mother would be supportive and always be there for him, on his side.
