Defending Jacob 3

Now I believe that Jacob did kill Ben, and that he also killed the girl at the end. While I was reading I was wondering why that last section after the court was needed, and that it held no real importance. But now I see that it was made to induce thought, and again, I believe that Jacob did kill Ben. This last section also expanded the character of Laurie even more. Now it is clear that she "knew" Jacob killed Ben all along, which explains the knife in the water as well as never seeming to support Andy throughout his struggles. I did not expect this, and this was an excellent ending to an excellent book.
