The curious incident of the dog in the night-time part 1

As I read this book I find that its mostly about a boy who is caught in a terrible situation where his neighbor thinks he killed her dog with a fork and he works hard to find the person who actually killed it. But he has to face some obstacles. For instance, his father says that he cannot mention the dog or be a detective and he has to let it be. He also cannot mention Mr. Shears because it will upset his dad. (Mr. Shears had an affair with the boy's mom.) The main character in the book goes to a special needs school but is very good at math and science. Christopher also meets Mrs. Alexander who treats him very nicely but also told him that Mr. Shears and his mom were having an affair. This book is pretty good so far.
