The group has definitely changed since the beginning of the book. The connection between the four of them has been shown in this book and you can tell that they all care for one another. While they were all on the roof, JJ, Martin, and Maureen agreed to help Jess find her boyfriend which made their relationship stronger. They also took Maureen on vacation which helped her a lot to relax after all the things that happened with her son. Also, the four of them lied about seeing an angel which was actually not right. Martin didn't need the money because of his show. Maureen didn't need the money because she was clearly not in debt no matter how much she complained about it. Jess didn't need the money because her dad has a high paying job and he works for education purposes. However, JJ might have needed the money because he wanted the money to start up a new band. But, these four guys' relationship has changed for the better.
