After I got through the slow beginning of the book, I began
to like it. When they took all the different clues of the murder and led them
toward Jacob, I took Jacob’s side. Although, I was questioning my decision due to
what he had posted on Facebook telling everyone that Ben was dead and to just
get over his death. I also took Jacob’s side because of the reason that Andy
found a knife in Jacobs’s drawer and got rid of it. Then, what really made me take his side was that they had found the murdering knife
in the woods where Ben had been killed. In this case, Jacobs’s knife was not
the knife used in the murder. However, when Andy and Laurie were at the psychiatrist,
Laurie had spoken up about kids getting hurt while Jacob was around. She also admitted
that the day care teachers wouldn’t be able to take their eyes off of him for a
second and that he was very aggressive as a child. This changed my thoughts about Jacob. I now think that he may have something to do with the
murder of Ben because of the anger issues that he had as a kid.
