Defending Jacob 1

How could Jacob be accused of killing Ben if they didn't know eachother? Jacob's dad Knew in his heart and believed he didn't do it even though the evidence pointed at Jacob. I think Jacob is not guilty. Ithink Leonard Patz most likely murdered Ben since he had a knief on him and was supposed to meet Ben.
