Defending Jacob 2
After finding out Patz committed suicide on Page 380 I was shocked. Patz had denied accusations vehemently up until this point. It just didn't make sense for him to kill himself and write a confession in his suicide note. He seemed content with life, so why commit suicide and confess. It doesn't seem like a suicide to me. I suspected foul play. So far the only criminals we know are Bill Barber, Andy's father, and Father O'Leary the man who was outside of Jacob's house. So they would be the two most likely to kill Patz. I thought it was Bloody Bill. So when Andy's suspicions of his father hiring Father O'Leary are revealed on page 393 my suspicions are confirmed. So I think O'Leary killed Patz.
