Defending Jacob 2

The most important scene is when Matt Magrath told Jacobs dad about Leonard Patz. This was the most important scene because he told him that Patz had a knife and planned to go meet Ben Rifkin. This was the evidence Jacobs dad needed to bust Patz. Matt Magrath was a key part for Jacob being innocent because he knew something that no one else did. Jacob was innocent and what this kid said proved it. The hard part was that Jacobs dad didn't know if Magraths wor would work in court. Jacobs dad knew the truth, but he didn't know how other people could know. Matt knowing this was huge for Jacobs case. Patz told Matt this and by Matt telling Jacobs dad grew more confident. All that needed to happen was that the jurors found out. Matt Magrath was a big part of Jacobs dads plan. Pats ended up killing himself and leaving a confession note about the murder. Jacob was innocent. Jacobs dad always believed that he was innocent. Jacob was not a murderer.
