Defending Jacob 3

While reading the final chapter of this book, I was really set off. The last part, with the mother was just a killer. It sent a million questions running through my head. (Why would she do that? Is she gonna be sent to trial now for killing Jacob? Did she die too? If she's alive did her marriage still last?...) It's just so sad and depressing and I wish I chose a different book.
