The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time

I feel like Christopher and Q from Paper Towns can relate in some way.  They both have something strange happen to them, Christopher finding the dead dog and Q talking to Margo and going out with her to complete tasks one night.  I think they can really relate when they both never stop giving up.  No matter how many times Christopher got in trouble or scolded by his dad to stop, he never stopped giving up on trying to find who killed Wellington and eventually at the end of the story he never gave up on trying to find his Mother after he had found out she was alive.  No Matter how many time Ben and Radar told Q to stop looking for Margo, for some reason Q just ignored them, risked his friendships, and never stopped looking.
