The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime 2

Since Christopher already had a warning from the police, his dad told him to stay out of other people's business and not do detective work about the dog anymore. So when Christopher was at the store, he didn't ask about Wellington, he asked Mrs. Alexander if she knew Mr. Shears. Christopher ended up finding out that his mom had an affair with Mr. Shears, which is why his dad hates him so much. When Christopher's dad found out that he talked to Mrs. Alexander and found out about the affair, he got very angry with Christopher because he had told him not to do detective work. He took his book and hid it. When his dad was at work, Christopher found it in a box and also found letters from his mom addressed to him, after reading a few, it dawned on him that his mom was still alive and is living somewhere with Mr. Shears. This made Christopher sick, and when his dad came home to find this, he was filled with guilt and remorse about not telling the truth about Christopher's mother and then came clean and told Christopher he had killed Wellington. I can't imagine how Christopher felt with all this news at once. It must be hard. The book started getting more interesting here and I like all the curve-balls they are throwing into the story.
