Ghosts of War #1

The section of the book when the children are begging the soldiers for food is very eye- opening. It really expressed how hopeful the children were when they saw the soldiers. It's truly heartbreaking to know that there actually are children in this world in similar situations. If I was in the position of one of the soldiers I am not sure how I would handle the situation.
