A Long Way Down 1

When Maureen, Jess, JJ, and Martin were on the rooftop and saw the man jump and commit suicide, I felt that that was a turning point in the plot. When they saw someone on the rooftop who really did have every intention of killing himself, they then realized none of them ever had felt that way. When they were all on the rooftop, they didn't want to kill themselves, they just wanted to be saved. Lucky for them, that's what had happened. They further investigated the man because they were curious to see what had pushed him to do what they couldn't. Even though it was a drastic and terrible thing to witness, seeing the man commit suicide was good for the four of them to witness because it acted as closure on the subject of suicide, and they all realized it was no longer an option, and never really was.
