A Long Way Down 1

I see a change in Jess throughout the beginning of the book to the end. At the beginning of the book she was always very negative and had a bad perspective on everything because of past events. Her boyfriend and her had split up and her sister disappeared causing a bad relationship with her parents and a negative look on her future. Towards the end of the book though she became the one who tried to help everyone with their problems, an example being that she set up the intervention in the Starbucks basement so Maureen, Martin, JJ, and herself could work their issues out. She put a lot of hard work and effort and wanted everything to go smoothly rather than in the beginning when she was always negative or had something bad to say.
