The author, Nick Hornby, May have written the book A Long Way Down because he could have relate to the issues that took place in the book, also he may have wanted other people to feel as if taking away everything and or ending everything isn't the right way to go, if you're down there are people who will be there for you when you need them it just takes time to know who is truly there for you and who is not, Nick Hornby's book, A Long Way Down deals with real life situations and deals with conflicts within others lives.
