Defending Jacob- 3

The ending of the story was very surprising to me. It was a very strange ending, because Laurie not only killed herself but Jacob also. I think the reason she killed herself and Jacob was because she couldn't deal with the guilt of her son being a murderer. It was also strange that she kept saying "I love you very much Jacob."
