A Long Way Down- post 1

The beginning of the book has been very predictable. This is because just like it says on the back of the book, 4 people end up on top of a 15 story building all at the same place and same purpose. As for the four characters meet each other on the building, the author gives the reader more inside to each of the characters lives and what led them to decide to commit suicide. The character Martin appalled me the most so far because I find him to be vile. The reason I found Martin to be vile is because sleeping with a 15 year old girl is first of all inatropriate and it must be illegal because he has to be old. So I am interested to see how he will improve his life after loosing everything from foun what he did. In addition I found it strange that Maureen on page 14 said, "I only wanted to ask him if was going to be long." the reason I found that strange is because she was basically asking if she could use the ladder to get over the fence so she could commit suicide and when she asked if Martin was going to be long(like take long with commuting suicide) I found it wrong of her because she should have told Martin not to jump instead.
