It was strange when Jacob was charged with the murder of Ben. In the beginning of the story, it was said that Jacob didn't even know Ben, so I was surprised when he was charged with murder. His parents were also very surprised, and the charges were a huge character change to Jacob, he went from being a low key character to a character in the spotlight.
