Defending Jacob #3

The end of the story was good, but real last part was, in my opinion, a stupid way to end an amazing book. The case reavealed that Leonard Patz, whom had a been a prior suspect to the case, was the one who really killed the child. He left a note that said he had killed the child and he, himself had committed suicide. After this was revealed to the court, Jacob's father went to see Bloody Bill, who was his father. They talked about how Jacob was found innocent and Bloody Bill told him that he had hired someone to scare Patz, and say he was the one who killed him, or it was supposedly thought. Jacob's father never really knew who did it. This made the story even more exciting and added suspense to the book. The family then went on vacation, where Jacob met a girl he liked. The story was more eerie when the girl Jacob met, was found dead on the shore of the ocean. This gave the story more suspense and kept me intact with the storyline. In the end, the girl's death was never concluded. The thing that made the story "stupid" was that Jacob died in a car crash, while his mother was driving. She had killed him for no reason, and even put herself in harms way. It didn't make much sense to me why she wanted to kill him, but then again she had been surrounded by death, and Jacob was put behind the murders. She had little reason to do this, but she chose to end it all. The book was very good, in fact one of the best books I have ever read. What made the book good was the suspense, detail, and interest that the book had.
