I couldn't believe it when Ryan got through about 9 months of field time and still hadn't lost anyone. When he takes his trip home and talks to the girl GI and she says that she as lost people it surprised me because that was the first time i had actually thought about it that he really hadn't known anyone that had died. Then when it finally did happen it brought you into perspective how lucky he was to have gone that long without anything happen.
