Ghosts of War
The scene I felt most touched by was when Sergeant Conklin had died. Everyone had been ten months into the tour, haven't lost anyone, until it hit Conklin. It had hit the team in a way never before. Not only had they lost a sergeant but as well as a friend, teammate, and most importantly a brother. As people tend to become most comfortable with eachother and begin to know eachother you never know when death strikes. That is what intensifies war. Its about the need to survive and the struggle it takes. I was most proud when Conklin passed, everyone showed no emtion, becuase emotion shows vulnerability, and vulnearbility gives into mortal fear. At that point in time it proved to me that these men were strong for holding in their emotions and tears as well as fears to come.
