Hole In My Life 1

The book starts with Jack Gantos at 19 years old, and still in high school. He was an alcoholic, and it started to affect his life and school. He got his own place later on and got his life back together. He started to drink less, and think about his morals in life. Jack loved to read, and wanted to be a write when he grew up. When the inmates came to his school, he never thought that he would end up in their shoes. He said that his main goal was to become a writer, and that being a criminal was not in his future. His actions later in life show otherwise, but so far, Jack Gantos seems to be on the right track.
