I don’t think that it is worth $10,000 to help crew a boat from Puerto Rico to New York that is full of hash. Years in prison are not worth $10,000, as Jack found out. If I was Jack I wouldn’t have taken that offer up. He knew the consequences and still chose to do it and that is foolish and cowardly. But this book still had a very valuable lesson:  Your freedom isn’t worth any amount of money.
