Hole In My Life- Post 1

At the end of chapter 3 in part 1 of the book, I agree with Jack Gantos' decision to not attend the University of Florida. He claims that it appeared to be a sprawling high school that would not allow him to have his car or live alone. He goes on to believe he made the right decision, but not know why. Personally, I think he was confident in his decision because he would not be happy at the college. Earlier in the book, Jack mentions his understanding of Buddha's statement, "Always walk the road of happiness to prosperity". Without a car or solitude, Jack would not be happy at this college, and would therefore not prosper.
