The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time 2

I was incrediblely surprised when I found out that Christopher's mother wasn't really dead. I can't believe his father's choice to not tell him that his mother simply moved somewhere else with another man. I thought that this was a very conceited act, and that Christopher had every right to know about the letters that his mother sent him. The fact that this is a true story makes this incident even more surprising. It's terrible that Christopher had thought that his mother was dead and had to live without her for a few years. It's quite traumatizing to lose a parent and he could have handled the loss a lot worse than he did. Luckily, he dealt with it fine and didn't let it dominate his life. It's awful that this happened to Christopher.
