The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time 2

I believe Christopher's father is hiding something. Christopher asks questions a lot in general, which his father seems to be fine with, but whenever Christopher asks about the dog, his father tells him to stop worrying about it and to not investigate it further. Christopher and his father also never speak about his mother, and Christopher never saw her in the hospital or sick, and never had any sort of ceremony after she passed away. These lead me to predict that Christopher's father had something to do with Wellington's death, and there is a possibility that Christopher's mother is alive somewhere.
