The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time 1

I really enjoyed reading this book mainly because of the main character, Christopher. It was very interesting to find out about him and see how he reacted in different situations. I discovered early on in the book that Christopher liked concrete, factual things, and hated everything that was fictional or abstract. For example, he loves math and science, which are both things that have strict rules on everything, and he likes to have explanations for everything (which is why he was so quick to find out why Wellington mysteriously died). Christopher said he did not believe there was anything out in the universe besides Earth, and that he believes there is no heaven. He feels this way because he cannot see anything out in space, therefore he chooses to think there's nothing there. He can't see any evidence of there being a heaven, so he says there is none. I made the observation that Christopher likes tangible evidence and guidelines, and if something has neither of those, he either hates it, ignores it, or says it doesn't exist. This explains why he is constantly searching for explanations and asking questions.
