There was deffinetly a character change in Christopher. He had decided to go live with his mom, and that meant he'd have to travel to where she was. This took a tremendous amount of courage for him to do because he does not like being around strangers. He continued on with his decesion and overcame his problems which was very admirable. That would be a tough desicion for anyone, and it was cool to see how Christopher went through great lengths to be away from his father.
