Woman Warrior Post 1

The reason I chose to read this book is to learn more about Chinese culture because China is a growing world power. In the novel I have already seen some examples of Confucianism which I learned about in Global Issues. The example of Confucianism I have noticed is the saying “no relationships are equal except friendship”. I can see this in the way women are regarded compared to men and the way elders are treated compared to kids, adolescence, and middle-aged people. The older a person is the higher their status in the social system. I think this is similar to us because we create social classes in our lives too but just in different way.
