a long way down 2

I think it's awful that the media makes accusations of Martin sleeping with Jess. I always felt, during the book that he was the most suicidal out of all of them, (with Maureen coming in a close second), because the press just doesn't leave him alone! then later, with the papers saying that him and Jess had a suicidal pact, it's just ridiculous all that he has to go through, and I feel sorry for him. Yet, he sort of seems the toughest out of the whole group, like he can handle the most, so throughout the middle of the book, I sort of got a vibe that maybe he wasn't the most suicidal out of all of them.
