Defending Jacob 1

When Jacob was accused to killing Ben Rifkin, you can see the changes that occured in Andy Barber. A parent never wants to hear that their child, who they've raised and cared for all their lives, has been committed to murdering another student. Andy Barber did everything that he could to help protect Jacob and support him throughout the entire case. The emotional tolls that it took on Andy and Laurie was definitely heartbreaking to read about and you couldn't possibly believe that a family could be so perfect and normal and end up being hated by the whole community. The case put against Jacob was definitely a huge difference against this family and the changes were noticable between Andy and Jacob. There was almost like a riff between the three of them and the constant struggles that went along with the case didn't help at all.
