Gantos came up with a good idea to get out of prison, an idea no one thinks of, he would apply for a college and try to get accepted in. Gantos did get accepted in and he was allowed to leave as long as he had a place to stay and also a job. After a few phone calls, Jack's dad found him a place to stay at Mrs. Virgilios house and also a job selling Christmas trees with Mrs. Virgilios son. I liked this book alot because it had a happy ending.
