Paper Towns 2

When John Green uses the balloon to life metaphor on pages 104-105 it gave me a new prospective on what people have to go through. It made me think that even though sometimes I have it hard, the people around you who help you through solving the problems or getting you through the situation, always have more to worry about. When Green says, "But once that string gets cut, kid, you cant uncut it it means that once you do something in life, you can only fix it, you can't rewind life or pretend it never happened.  This quote also means that even though a problem is solved or forgotten, it isn't fully removed. When Detective Otis Warren came to speak to Margo's family, everyone who was at Quentin's house remembered how many times in the past that Margo has ran away. Even though they don't speak of it on a daily basis, it still floats around in the sky, just like a balloon.
