The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time 2

In my opinion, the most important scene in this story so far is when Christopher finds out that his Father has lied to him about his mother's death. Christopher finds letters sent from his mother that was hidden from him by his father. Christopher no longer trusts his father, especially after his father admits to killing the dog. Now for the first time in his life, Christopher will journey alone from Swindon to London in hopes to reunite with his mother.

  1. This is a major turning point in the story for Christopher. I agree. His whole world as he knows it has changed. His father is the one person that he trusted and now he has his doubts. Do you think it was right to lie to Christopher in this case?

  2. Yes, I think Christopher's father did the right thing because if Christopher's mother had left once, there was no way of knowing she wouldn't do it again. Even after Christopher reunited with his mother, she started to feel depressed and annoyed by her son again. If Christopher's father hadn't started to help, she probably would have abandoned Christopher again.
