The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Post 2

I think Christopher is very similar to Lenny from “Of Mice and Men”. Both are mentally disabled and have a hard time understanding people’s feelings and emotions. They both never think or have the ability to think how the other person feels when they do or say something to another person. Another interesting or noteworthy thing these two have in common is they like mice and rats. For both of these guys, petting and holding these animals relaxed them. A third thing they have in common is they panic when they are in a stressful situation. An example is when Lenny accidently killed Curley’s wife by putting his hand over her mouth so she wouldn’t tell George that Lenny accidently killed a dog. Lenny did this because he didn’t want George to get mad. Christopher also panics when he is in a tough situation. An example is when Christopher pushes a police officer when the police officer asks Christopher too many questions. All the questions made Christopher feel insecure. Lastly, even though these two characters have trouble interacting with people, they both have another trait to make up for this flaw. For Lenny it is his strength and for Christopher it is his memory and ability to understand mathematical concepts.
